I ran across a chip with an interesting story. Many years ago Europa Jet was the only gaming boat running out of Galveston Texas so when news of the larger Talisman coming to Galveston was anxiously anticipated by many in the area. There was delay after delay. I was one that wanted to be on an early cruise and had promised to bring chips back for everyone. Out of the blue they made their maiden voyage and I missed it. It was just as well as I am sure the boat was overcrowded on the first voyage anyway. I did not want to wait long so I booked the next available cruise several were sold out before I could go.

The boat made four cruises, failed to pay dock fees to Galveston, failed to pay taxes and was shut down and seized by US Marshalls before I was even scheduled to go out. Boy, was I disappointed! As I am sure many others were too. It was years later that I found chips from that boat that had finally surfaced.
