Generally speaking, the inserts on the Christy & Jones chips are concave (ie: they curve the same way as the inlay).

Check out the Oliver's Castaways, Carver House, and Town Hall Round-Up chips, all of which are Christy and Jones and all have inserts large enough to see the curve (the Carousel, Silver Palace, and New El Morocco are also C&J but have narrow inserts). Notice how they are all concave while your Mint chip has convex inserts.
