I'm not sure about the Variety Club. I think it was a frat (that did charity work then and today) when it was organized. Each local "club" is called a tent. The grand pubah is called the Chief Barker. The organization was founded in Pittsburgh (Tent 1) in 1927 by 11 people in showbusiness.

There is another c&s from the Variety Club that says "Tent 17" which is Dallas, TX. Since the Variety Club chip in the scan ("I am the Barker") does not mention a tent, I would attribute it to Pittsburg, PA. I would guess that it would be available for use by any tent. Anyone agree that the attribution should be Pittsbugh, the home of the Variety Club??
