$2.50's for Leonidas & other Variant Hunters grin

Leonidas, here's my Carnival Cruise Lines $2.50's with UV's & details as promised.

After seeing your CCL $1's under UV light & the differences, it made me check the body & inserts of the snappers. Whilst all the actual chips & Indian Blue inserts were the same, the Salmon inserts showed 3 subtle variations. #1, #3 & #4 look very orange, #2 & #5 look more peach colored & #6 is much darker than all of the others.

Also interesting to note is the variations in the inlay "sky" coloring. Similar colored skies (to the naked eye) show up very differently under UV.

Regarding the UV markings, 1, 2, 3, 5 & 6 all show the large H&C while #4 shows a medium H&C.

Anyway, all FYI. grin Now, if I could only work out which ones were "Peach" & which were "Orange" as per the guides???!!!

**** Important to note : All chips are in similar condition & appear to be similar in age. All were scanned at the same time. All UV pictures were taken at the same time using the same UV light & USB microscope settings & all in the same lighting. All chips are scanned with Indian Blue insert left. Whilst photoshop was used to cut & paste, the images were not altered or enhanced in any way. Scanned images shown look very close to what you see with the naked eye. (I love my scanner!!)
