Hello Everyone.
Been a few days & she has had a lot of visitors. First Janice Has had a few ups & downs. She is very receptive to people when awake & has a smile when she sees most
everyone. She had a trial on oxygen to the nose & the Trac. capped. The first 2 days
she made 1 hour before wanting it back to being hooked back to the trac. Another 3 days
she could not last more then 15 minutes on oxygen to the nose. She seemed to feel she
couldn't breathe on the line to the nose & the lungs hurt. Respitory installed a smaller Trac. Yesterday & she seemed to feel she could breathe better with the smaller
trac so the capped it and hooked her up to oxygen to the nose. She lasted 2 hours before
she asked to have it removed. She was asked to remain on it 30 more minutes & within 5 minutes had a panic attack where they immediately put her back on the Trac. She spent the night having bad dreams etc. & didn't sleep well. I spent the day trying to explain
thar she is breathing on her own & the Trac. or the oxygen to the nose is the same either way & she will have to learn to breathe through her nose again. She spent most of
the afternoon sleeping & hopefully she will have a better night tonight. They
hope to try the capping some time again tomorrow. I want to be there for support.
