I love the idea of getting the chips out to be looked at. The only problem I see is that the clear plastic binder pager will "yellow" a bit over time with exposure to light. The other issue-even out of direct sunlight, the chips will gradually fade with exposure to light. The fading will be slow and minimal, but there will definitely be some fading.

I wonder about the practicality of acquiring an acrylic sheet the size of the display to cover it all? It is easy to work with, a lot lighter than glass.
