Though I do not remember the year (early-90s); the first person to find and report the UV makings on chips and write an article about the find in our club magazine was a German National who specialized in dice, R. Kelpie.

He was inspecting his dice with a black light one evening and while passing the light over some chips on the table he noticed the markings. We were casual traders: U.S. dice for German chips.

The second person to write about the UV markings in our magazine was member Jim Whittiker.
