My opponent was the brother-in-law of one of our local legislators. He was allowed to file one week after the official close of filing to force me into a primary election. He had tried to file in time, buy didn't actually belong to any official party, so they turned him away. When they found out the Independent American party does not have to follow the same declaration rules as the major parties, they chose that route. Welcome to Nevada politics!! Oh, and I might have irritated a couple people here and there.
