Our government declared that all Canadians have to register their weapons or turn them in, or else they would be breaking the law. Many did, but strangely enough,the criminals and gang members did not. WOW! Big surprise! Now we are having more and more gun crime in Canada than ever before.
I am a firm believer in "the right to bear arms". Unfortunately it does not fly here. I really do not think that Obama will make gun ownership a crime. There are certain guns though that really should not be allowed in ANYONE'S hands and I think that he may try and push for that. All of your Magnums and shotguns and everyday self defense guns and rifles should be ok.
I would not worry too much about it. It would be political suicide to try and take away the weapons of Americans.
