They use the WSOP as a cash cow.
Poker Player magazine is free in poker Rooms and a good publication. Harrahs told PP if they wanted to have PP at the WSOP, they had to give Harrah's $30,000 in free advertising. It was not at the WSOP.
BTW, word on the street is Harrahs will be filing bankrupsy, and the WSOP is being shopped for sale.
