I think even now, the bad part is that no one is minding the store. To add to that, most of the hierarchy of these companies is still in place.
Think of the sheer nerve of these companies shelling out tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars in Christmas bonuses last year and bragging about it, all along knowing that the house of cards was about to fall in.
IMHO, though it will never happen they should all be prosecuted.
This makes Gordon Gekko look like a total novice here
