Global warming. Temperatures haven't risen in 10 years. Bush must be responsible! Climate change is cyclical, dependent on solar activity. We couldn't cause climate change even if we wanted to.
Stem cell research. It is being conducted with both government funding and private funding. Embryonic stem cell research is not being funded by the government, but adult stem cell research is. The embryonic stem cell research being privately funded isn't showing any tangible results. The adult stem cell research being funded by both the government and the private sector is showing results. Embryonic stem cell research is unnecessary.
Two wars. We were attacked! We haven't been attacked since! Nuff said!
Disastrous financial conditions. Legislation put into place by Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and Chuck Schumer regarding the government guaranteeing loans made to unqualified buyers, loans that banks were pressured to make in the name of affirmative action in housing.
Problems that existed before are worse. You might want to expound upon that statement.
Problems that were not even imagined became reality. The first time the World Trade Center was bombed, the "not even imagined" became reality. The Sudan offered Osama bin Laden to Bill Clinton, and Clinton turned them down.
