ncr--funny wrong ebay auction....

not mine & I don't know the seller...but he/she is rather creative, if a bit inaccurate...

"It was Siegel who was most directly responsible for what Las Vegas has become today, the gambling Mecca of the world.
Bugsy Siegel did that? Wow! grin

We pulled into the outskirts of Las Vegas and found our way to the location our research told us was the spot Bugsy Siegel first stood and envisioned his casino.
Hmmm...Considering that Billy Wilkerson was the one who started building the Flamingo, Bugsy probably wasn't too far away from it when he first 'envisioned' it. Is the Flamingo on the outskirts of Las Vegas...I don't think so??

We knew that the Flamingo Casino although gone now was considered very lucky as it proved to be for many travelers passing through in Bugsy’s day."
The original Flamingo building is gone...so I guess this statement could be correct. The Flamingo lost so much in its first few days that it was closed for a couple of months, then reopened. A contract was put out on Bugsy...and even though the Flamingo did start to make money (no longer lucky for the travelers?), it was too late for Bugsy.
