The Saratoga Club operated at Litchfield, Illinois in the 1940's. A news release from then stated "the Saratoga Club will open in place of the recently closed Belvedere, under joint ownership of Heidi Orr and the former Belvedere owner, B.A."Curly" Carnack". These chips came fron Leland "Heidi" Orr's estate sale several years ago. They were most likely used at the Belvedere by B.A. Carnack. Saratoga Club chips were ordered in 1947 by Leland Orr, in the T-mold.
I am offering 6 chips, 3 treybal mold(Joseph Treybal sporting goods, St. Louis) and 3 triangle mold(A.E.Schmidt Co., St. Louis). Litchfield, Illinois is about 45 miles northeast of St. Louis. I was in Litchfield this past spring, and visited with a lady who used to go to the Saratoga. Her uncle was a "stick man" for Heidi Orr there.
