There is another reason for that..........
The reason is the chip was stored w/ others and the dust, that is in manufacturing and storage the dust /color worked in to the inlay. This is not to say that pvc does some damage, but chipcos that do not come into contact pvc run from a RED color to a WHITE colored Chip.
