More post office problems...

I will appologize in advance in case anyone gets a package from me with postage due. Just send me a note and I will send you the money. I have been in a battle with the local post office for several months now. I read the description of the various types of "letters and packages" as posted on the USPS web site. I noticed that their detailed description of a large envelope was if it exceeded any ONE of the 3 possible dimensions that they have listed. The minimum thickness listed was 1/4" and the max is 3/4". As I was mailing packages I noticed that certain postoffice employees were charging me the parcel price for what was a large envelope. I talked to the Postmaster and she didn't have a clue what the specs for a large envelope were. I complained to the customer service department. The first person denied my complaint (although i never got a reason) so I escalated it to a supervisor. The supervisor agreed with me and said that she would talk to everyone at the local post office and set them straight. A few weeks later i had to mail some packages and the employee said that they were pacakages because they were over 1/4" thick. AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!! I called the supervisor again and she apparently contacted the local office again. When I mailed packages this week the jerk employee sent them out as large envelopes but warned that they may be returned with postage due. HUH??? If the post office told him to send them as a large envelope them why would there be postage due??? In any case I would like to know if there are any problems since I don't think that this is over with yet. And if you go onto the post office web site and go to the postage section and look at the descriptions of each type of package you will be forewarned if they try to overcharge you. Also I would like anyone who is overcharged to complain to the post office customer service department. Maybe if they get enough complaints they will rationalize their charges so that the average person can understand them.
