How the VALUES button works ...
In Response To: Chas Kaplan--question... ()

The idea of the VALUES function is to give collectors an idea of what an item is worth. I do not want to have to maintain this information and I don't feel qualified to do so. Instead, I figured that collectors could share there own information about values. That is why I implement in the VALUES function.

In the info box of each item displayed on the Caribbean ChipGuide, there is a VALUES button. When you click on the button, you will be taken to a screen with value information for that item. Since it is a new function, most likely all you will see is the blinking message "Please Submit Your Values". On the screen there is a button named "SUBMIT NEW VALUE". If you click on this button, you will be taken to another screen where you can enter information about the value of the item and submit it. The value information reported can be from: a sale, an auction, your trade list, or your want list. For example, if you indicate that the item is on your want list - you are saying that you would like to trade for this item and how much you are willing to give for this item in trade value. You can also indicate that the item is in your collection. At some point I hope to add the function that will let you see all the items in your collection using this indicator. This should help you get started. OK?
