One of my students is heading to the China this Friday for the Olympics. He is an alternate on the US Taekwando team. I believe he is the first alternate but he will not be competing. The 2nd alternate goes to school where I teach, as well. My student has offered to buy whatever I want (I supply the money) while he is there and bring it back for me. My problem is that I do not know what to ask him to buy and bring back for me. I have never been to the Olympics so I do not know what would be the best souvenir. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to have him bring back for me?

I am still in awe that he is going to China for the Olympics as a possible competitor. Things like this are one of the many things that make teaching a rewarding occupation.
