I'm sure that this comes as no surprise to many, but I did want to make it official that I will be running for the position of Secretary in 2009. While the dates of the election process are not yet set (it is a function of the next Convention and Business Meeting dates) it is customary to announce at about this time.

Over the next several days I will be presenting my campaign message(s) and throughout the election process, I will always make every effort to 'take the high-road' in my campaign. I will also make it perfectly clear at this juncture that my candidacy is mine alone.

While no one else has declared their candidacy for this important position on the Board, I look forward to a spirited and honest contest, with a little sprinkling of fun from time-to-time. However, I will always remain committed to the betterment of the Club, which is a legacy passed along to all of us by all the past (and current) Board members, Directors/Chairpersons, volunteers and members-at-large.

I thank those, in advance, who will offer their vote of support, as well as those who wish to ask the tough questions applicable to holding this position and that of a Club Board member.
