If you bought from skinner1957, he's been selling them steady since last quarter '06. Thoughtful of him to include the "new find" notation in his auction. Never asked him about the number available but like Doug Smith, I believe, pointed out in his "Newby Tips", if it's new then there is likely a box of 'em out there. At least these aren't new. I bid for a few months before I was able to get one at my price from him. No other bidders against his opening asking price of $9.99 and I'm happy with that.

My observations of Ely chips is that there are really very few that really hit all the criteria that make a chip worth spending a lot of money for. The Mustang Club has that classic tan w/brn inserts lrg-key with an attractive inlay that is highly desirable and the dovetails from there make the book values because dovetails are so popular. The downside of Ely chips is that there is the distinct possibility that they are all out there somewhere so follow your heart if you want to spend $$$ for one. grin I collect them because I like the town and plan on pulling up to Hotel Nevada June 17 to layover on my way to the convention. Just my thoughts.
