Re: NCR Bob Orme, please read NCR

Wow Bill! I knew the State Police and local fire marshalls were an everyday part of drag racing in New Jersey, but I didn't know that the State Government had incorporated so many things into law that are already covered by the sanctioning bodies regarding safety of participants and spectators. The tracks can't get sanctioning without following and adhering to guidelines that are more complex than what the State has drawn up, but I guess some bureaucrats think they need to have their micro-managing governmental stamp of approval on it too. They could have saved a bunch of time and legalese by just stating that all racing facilities will conform to the sanctioning bodies' rules. The people that actually do this stuff know more about it than any politician! And as far as I know, New Jersey never has been known as a hotbed for outlaw race tracks...

I just received my racing schedule yesterday. As usual, they've got me going all over the place. It's mostly middle America (Houston to Brainerd), but I'll be in New Hampshire this year, and I'm going to Canada twice. Big fun, I can't wait!
