I had this happen to me while I was in Las Vegas, but with a difference. The company was listed as Betamax.com, taking $90 out of my bank account via PayPal. Since I check my accounts daily, I was able to catch it and get it reversed, but still even with the security in place, the thieves can find ways to circumvent the system and get into your money.

Basic rule... always make sure every transaction is legit. Since I hadn't done anything on PayPal for a month, it stuck out like a sore thumb, and was quickly caught and taken care of. But if you do a lot of transactions, if it's small enough it can slip through and you won't notice it as easily.
