Take the Boneyard Tour

One of the most recognizable icons of Las Vegas is the Neon Signage. In a city where history is doomed to be imploded and destroyed there is one place where history lives on forever.

That place is the Neon Museum.

As quoted from their website "the Neon Museum's Mission is to collect, preserve, study and exhibit Neon Signs and associated artifacts to inspire educational and cultural enrichment for diverse members of our international community.

Many of the restored pieces can be seen displayed throughout the city. However the highlight is the Boneyard, a 3 acre site in Las Vegas that houses a collection on non restored historic signage.

The best part about the Boneyard is that you can tour it for a small donation fee. Fellow chippers usually schedule a tour sometime during the annual convention but even when visiting Vegas alone you can schedule one of their now famous tours.

If you haven't done this before and you are as excited about Vegas history as I am, this is a cant miss tour.
