Just back from Super Show

Just got back from the Vegas Super Show. All I can say is; WOW, what a GREAT show!!
I didn't expect it to be as big or as much fun as it was....next year I will bring alot more moolah!!

I did not find the attendance to be "light". I found that you may have had to wait a minute or two to talk with a dealer, but then you had their complete attention for several minutes. Many dealers that normally are at the convention show were there, and it was a blast to finally have time to actually have a 5 or 10 minute conversation with them (I look forward to seeing many of them again this summer). Since the atmosphere was more relaxed, I found EVERY dealer to be genuinely friendly and willing to make my show dollars stretch further....I got some GREAT deals! Just a few rambling thoughts:

Steve Fisher - Had a great time gathering at his table with a few others while he shared show girl stories. I can't wait for his new "Show Girl" book to be released in June!

Paul Zimpter - A local man that is getting ready to sell his home in Vegas and enjoy his golden years traveling. Just wanted to make sure that his casino collectables "got a good home"...Made me some incredible deals on tokens and genuinely an outstanding person! I wish him much luck in his future travels.

ALL the dealers deserve an "atta boy/gal"! One dealer even gently smiled at Darrell as he was looking through a huge $1 over face bin for a Vegas Silver Slipper chip (for a coworker that was married at the Silver Slipper in the 60's). The dealer kindly directed Darrell to a chip book stack, found him a beautiful mint $1token and priced it so well that Darrell was grinning ear to ear on his purchase. Since Darrell's still learning, I found this to be especially nice.

The Alexis Park Resort - We made a HUGE mistake by not taking up the specially priced Super Show room offer....this place is airy, clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly and we were able to stick our heads into a room while the housekeeping staff were cleaning - quite nice! We plan on staying at the property next year. It was almost errie (and very nice) to not be forced to listen to the constant "ding, ding, ding" of slot machines.
We had lunch at the Pegasus Sports bar at the property and found it to be spotlessly clean with very reasonably priced and well prepared food. Armed with a restaurant.com certificate, this was a good deal!

A chance to have dinner with several chippers at the Circus, Circus Steakhouse -- PRICELESS!
I am now happy for Tyrus and his decision to move back to Texas. He even looked healthier, happier and calmer than in the past. The move has been good for him.

This was a bigger show than the Az. Charlie shows in the past, and I REALLY, REALLY enjoyed it!

Thanks to Jim and CT for putting on such a great show and I WILL be back!!

Tammy
