Several hundred of the $5 chips surfaced about 1 year ago. Additionally, $1 chips in similar quantities that were previously unknown until then were also discovered.

One may ask, were they originally intended for Las Vegas and somehow ended up in Canada? I know of no reason they were shipped to Canada as I cannot find any reference to a River Queen Casino in Canada. However, there is clear indications of a River Queen Casino designated Las Vegas.

Bottom line, no harm in buying one or both for your collection. I have both in mine. Just be careful what you pay knowing hundreds are now around.
