Shawn, chips are not something people throw away. They stick them in basements, closets, and attics.
Heirs find them many years later and do a quick internet search.

IMO there are still 1,000's and 1,000's to come out as we have reached a time when more and more old timers are dying.
Forget the one or two Uncle Charlie took home in 1955. Casino workers took home 1,000's when casinos closed or changed out racks.

I agree that some people buy these things and try to make a quick killing on the 1st few sold by not disclosing amounts found. IMO, this is the buyers fault. They deserve what they get.
