How about a good ebay story!!!!

This wonderful woman went above and beyond!!! In summary my wife collects beanie bears, this auction for these rarer bears ended right before Xmas, my wifes B-day is 1/3/08 so naturally I was worried about getting the package before her B-Day seeing that is being shipped from Ontario, I told her don't worry it gets here when it gets here considering the holidays and all. Much to my surprise I recieved this letter!!!!!

IMPORTANT MESSAGE! Friday, December 28:

Dear Eric,

Looks like you are going to have a "SURPRISE" package after all!

The weather was decent today - roads were quite clear - just a bit slippery in spots - snow forecast only for later this evening - so ....

I decided to drive down to New York State and post your pkg from Ogdensburg. I sent it priority post, insured - and it really should arrive by your wife's birthday!

I called my best friend and asked her to come with me - as soon as we crossed the border (clearing customs), I headed for the USPS (postal) station to get your pkg into the morning's mail.

After that, we shopped around at Walmart and a few other stores, had lunch, a bit more shopping and headed back home before the snow and ice was supposed to arrive.

I usually do not drive to the states in the winter because if there is a change in the weather (like a freak snow storm), the highway can be quite treacherous. But, I kept thinking about how kind it was of you to order these beanies for your wife and that it would be wonderful if they got there in time for her Birthday, instead of late.

Please let me know when your pkg arrives - positive feedback on eBay would be appreciated (only after you have rec'd the beanies of course) - and, I will be very happy to do the same for you.

Thanks again for your purchase. Take care and have a good weekend! Happy New Year, my American friend!

All the best,

Janet
