ncr - Catfish Bend Fires Dilbert!

Guess I work for better outfits than some folks. Wednesday I was sitting in my boss's office and we were discussing Levere Redfield silver dollars and the Nevada Club. Boss has a display of Carson City Mint cartwheels on the wall and we both had "time" on our hands at the moment. The boss's office is 275 miles away so I only see him twice a year. And... I got my Christmas card with the enclosed C-note as well.

Interesting story about Catfish Bend firing a guy who posted the above Dilbert strip on an office bulletin board. Catfish was going to lay off 170 workers and this guy thought the strip "would cheer some people up." Probably cheered up the person who then only had to figure out 169 workers to lay off as a result! vbg http://www.desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071219/NEWS/712190360/-1/politics

The guy applies for unemployment and Catfish challenges it. The state sides with with the worker because posting the cartoon was "...'a good-faith error in judgment," not intentional misbehavior."

Good Faith Error In Judgement? I wonder if the guy that does Dilbert wrote that too! Me, Al Gore and every strutting peacock elected to office find these words kinda inspirational I must say.
