Id seen these small size 'mother of pearl effect' plaques in several UK casinos in the past, and I may have incorrectly reported that I thought they were made by Matsui. I remember commenting about the absolute lack of security features (other than a serial# on casino issues).
Im not aware of the pieces they describe as Jetons being in use as such over here but then again I only know of one casino in the UK that still uses jetons at all (Cromwell Mint).
What the Dal Negro circular pieces are used for, and I confirmed this at both the Isle and Empire, is for markers (ie on roulette stacks).
Remember that these are small size pieces, ie the smaller plaques are just 2 x 1-1/4 inches (same size as typical UK £50 plaques)
