"I don't let cost be a factor"
In Response To: Re: Chip trading topic ()

"I don't let cost be a factor. I recently sent several people 2 personal chips with nothing in exchange at a postage cost of 1.30 each. Because I wanted these people to have them."

I agree 100% and thats what i did with mine (you got one on the way Barry grin ). I guess the motivation behind my "topic" Is that i was surprised that when i got my first personal chip made i had alot of emails from others who wanted one. With my new one, as of this post, ive had 2 who emailed for one. Even though i probably already sent one to most who would email me for one, it got me thinking if the postage had caused others not to trade for personals as much as they used to or buy cheaper chips as well. It may just be MY perception, but there appeared to be more people posting new personal chips a few years ago. Personally, the postage hasnt affected me other than i dont buy as many $1 chips that arent in my collecting area as i used to. I imagine that the whole thing would depend on someones income or level of involvment.
For the record, "profit" or expecting something in return for anything i send WAS NOT the motivation for my original post grin
