Here's one that has puzzled collectors for years:

The piece is a hand painted ceramic-type construction.

It was found about 15 years ago in the basement of an antique shop in Paris; in a crate, along with other jetons, plaques and documents from Palais de la Med... (Nice, France)... the only piece of its kind in the lot.

One other similar piece from another casino (1930s, France) is known, but its history/purpose is also unknown.
