I don't know about that, but I do know that the two Silver Strike machines that I played at the Mandalay Bay were ticket-in ticket-out systems. So it's possible that they'll keep the strikes that way. (BTW, I won three silver strikes on $20 when I was there just for a few minutes... kept the strikes more as mementos.)
