Yes, the casino in Venice is still open. They claim to be the first casino in the world opened in 1638.
I never saw your jeton before, so I am not sure about the design. At the moment the casino has a lion in the logo,
but maybe it changed in the long history. I would guess your jeton is from the early 1960s. The currency is Lire, but I do not
now the value in 1960. In the 1990s the Lire was very week. Since 2002 the currency in Italy is Euro, like in many European countries.
