(This award-winning chef is also the mentor of Thomas Keller and Gordon Ramsay.) The most coveted reservations in Sin City are to be had at this outpost of Parisian haute cuisine. Located at Caesars Palace, this dining room is an intimate space (max of 75 guests) accented with dark woods, stone, leather, and plenty of contemporary art. Dishes are poetic; the chef’s signature artichoke and black truffle soup is one mouthwatering example of many. Located on the second floor of the Augustus Tower, the restaurant offers views of the classically-inspired architecture of the Roman Plaza and even that little piece of Paris in the desert: Sin City’s Eiffel Tower. Choose the TGV menu for an unforgettable 90 minute experience (priced at $190).

PS. Restaurant Guy Savoy was one of only six restaurants nominated for the James Beard Award for Best New Restaurant (2006)– the only one in Vegas to be nominated.

Alex, Wynn Las Vegas

In less than a year after opening, executive chef Alessandro (Alex) Stratta earned a Five-Diamond rating from AAA, one of only three restaurants in Las Vegas to have such an honor at that time. Alex, also known for being listed as one of the "Best Hotel Chefs" by the James Beard Foundation, gets his inspiration from the flavors of the French Riviera. The service here is rated best in its class; female diners have stools for their purses. In-house Wynn designer, Roger Thomas, designed Alex with theater-inspired flair. If the Queen were coming to Vegas, Alex would be her first dinner stop. Dinners here at the Wynn Las Vegas run north of $120 per person

Renowned Chef Hubert Keller brings his finesses for contemporary French Cuisine from San Francisco to Mandalay Bay. The Fleur de Lys dining experience allows you to choose the options that suit you best: three, four, and five-course dinners are available as well as la carte options. A 12,000-bottle wine loft with a private cellar master’s table overlooks the main dining room, which features 30-foot walls of cultured stone rising from the restaurant floor to the embossed wood ceilings. Cabanas along the perimeter of the restaurant offer an ideal setting for secluded dining. And dominating the wall of the main dining area is a live floral sculpture of more than 3,000 fresh-cut roses formed to shape a giant leaf. Not your typical French restaurant, Fleur de Lys also features an intimate lounge offering a sexy, soulful atmosphere with a D.J. spinning nightly

Picasso, Bellagio

Soaring cove ceilings, intimate nooks and great bursts of flowers make Picasso a dream of country elegance. Here, master Chef Julian Serrano's French-Mediterranean cuisine takes flight in a room that boasts an awesome profusion of original Picasso oils and ceramics. The first Las Vegas chef to be honored with the James Beard Award for "Best Chef, Southwest," Serrano showcases his ingredient-driven, seasonal cuisine in two masterful menus: a four-course tasting menu and a five-course Chef's Degustation. Picasso is the proud recipient of the AAA Five Diamond Award of Excellence for 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. In addition, surveyors in the 2002 Zagat Las Vegas Restaurant Survey voted Picasso "Most Popular Restaurant" in Las Vegas.

Bamboo accents and a stunning black-rock wall are just part of the thoughtful design that take you a world away from the casino floor. Created by Master Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, the world famous Nobu is the perfect place to grab a bite before hitting the Joint for a show or a night at the tables. A staple for Las Vegas sushi lovers, newcomers will discover a fusion of traditional Japanese cuisine with latin spices and flavors. Grab a table and try mouth watering favorites like the yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno.

Alizé, Palms

André Rochat, Chef/Proprietor of the very respected and award winning Andre’s Restaurant, is the Doyen of Las Vegas restaurateurs. On November 15, 2001, André opened the crown jewel of his culinary trilogy, Alizé, located on the top floor of the Palms Casino Resort. Named after the gentle trade winds that sweep the French Caribbean Islands, Alizé features world-class cuisine, service and wine list with the most dramatic view of the famous Las Vegas Strip. Stripsteak, Mandalay Bay

Acclaimed Chef Michael Mina breaks new ground with the debut of STRIPSTEAK at Mandalay Bay, his first steakhouse. With its classic menu, inviting bar scene and sophisticated atmosphere, STRIPSTEAK plays host to guests looking for the perfect filet in a modern alternative to the traditional steakhouse setting. As with Mina’s other restaurants, STRIPSTEAK uses only the highest quality ingredients – corn-fed, all-natural meat; line-caught seafood and fresh, seasonal produce. While first-rate components are essential, it is Mina’s creative approach to cooking that has made his name.

STRIPSTEAK features a menu rife with imaginative interpretations of classic steakhouse favorites using state-of-the-art kitchen equipment. STRIPSTEAK offers three kinds of beef, Certified Angus Beef, American Kobe and 'A5' Japanese Kobe, and is home to two wood-burning grills and six circulating, slow-poaching chambers. The signature slow-poaching method enhances flavor and tenderness by heating the meat for several hours at a low temperature, while the mesquite-stoked grills infuse every cut with a subtle smokiness.
