Ed, the U is also different....the smaller scan (variety 1) shows the sides of the U as straight up and down, while the larger scan (variety 2) has the sides of the U bowed outward like an upside down horseshoe. The A in Maumee is also bowed like a horseshoe in variety 2 while variety 1 has straight sides. As I can see....the only letters similar in both varieties are the C, L and B.

I'd be curious as to if this one is more scarce or just as common. As we all know proper valuation of chips would be based on scarcity. These may be extremely common or extremely rare, I just don't know. Personally, I haven't see any of variety 2 anywhere else. That of course doesn't mean they aren't out there in abundance, it just means I haven't seen them.
