First off, I am glad to report that Gina and I are permanent residents of LV as of y'day. I moved my Union Wireman Ticket to Local 357 from my Home Local 136 B'ham Alabama, and was unanimously voted in last night by the Local. Why you ask, maybe these pics will give you one reason why

Third, the update:

There are about 4000 construction workers on the site now. Over 30 tower cranes and twice that many smaller cranes on site. Safety is just a word. 6 deaths so far. They said the other day that on average there has been a death every two months so far, since the job began. We heard that OSHA FINALLY set up a trailer on the job last week. I guess they figured they would save some gas and just stay here LOL! Had a bomb threat last week on site. Evac'ed most of the job to the streets. Very crazy. Buildings are rising out of the dust everywhere. The job is behind and I expect there will be a TON of OT beginning as soon as most towers are well out of the ground. It takes about 30 mins on Frank Sinatra to drive a 1/4 mile to the Bellagio Employee parking garage (where we park), in the morn and about that long to leave every day.

OK, Here we go. I took these pics last week from the Main Casino Tower in the center of the project. I don't know if it has a "real" name yet but we call it the Pelli Tower. The name is from Cesar Pelli. He is a world renowned architect that designed this monster. It looks like a mess now but give it a couple years LOL! I will try my best to name the building (s) in the pic or tell you what I think it is .

This is the beginning of the Theatre at CC. It will host a Cirque du Soleil show there called Elvis. The theatre will seat about 2,000 people. To the right is part of the Convention Center.

This is the massive 6 story hole that they dug around the Jockey Club. The area will be the Cosmopolitan. There will be 2 or 3 towers under the Cosmo name. Under the tower, inc. what is just dirt right now, will be parking, a theatre, dining and tons of other stuff.

This is another pic of the Cosmo work. This thing is HUGE! Check out the Jockey Club. All that is left of it to date is the top floor and the Jockey Club lighted name. What a view those people are getting there LOL!

This is the Harmon Tower. Very cool shape. It will be a Condo/Hotel and have about 400 rooms. When finished, the Harmon Road corridor will run thru the project and tie back in to Harmon Road that runs in between the PH Casino and the Harley Cafe.

Here is a busy pic. The crazy pitched roof line is the CC Casino. It will be awesome! Directly above are the Veer Towers. Above that is the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Residences.

This is a shot from the North side of the Casino Tower. The curve of the building is very cool. You can see right across the tower.

This will be the Convention Center. It will eventually run all the way back to Frank Sinatra Road. Behind the open hole is the Conv. parking garage. Directly behind that is the Central Plant. Just look at it like it's very own Power House

This is the West side of the main hotel tower. I think the deck will be a large pool deck. Also the Cirque Theatre.

This is the Vdara Tower. The deck around the bottom is the beginning of an awesome pool deck.

Tram pillars and lots of dirt. Eventually all this dirt will be underground roads, parking servant tunnels and etc. etc. etc...

Finally here is a shot of the PH Casino. It looks great now. The entire front is redone. You would never believe there was an Aladdin Casino there a year ago!
