Hey Reggie. Thanks for posting the idea we had been talking about. There already is a Midwest club meeting in Chicago and a deep south one in Gulfport MS. Both are too far to drive for anyone east of those clubs and as far as I know the closest club north is in AC and the one south is deep in FL.

Knoxville TN is at the intersection of two of the longest interstate highways in I-40 and I-75. It is just under 3 hours east of Nashville and 3 hours north of Atlanta. It is a pretty central location for anyone living in this region. I expect anyone living within a 3 hours drive can make a trade session and be home the same day. The radius of 3 hours drive to Knoxville should encompass all of north-central GA and AL, parts of north MS, half of eastern KY, part of southern VA and half of western NC. Anyone just over that range could stay the night if they wanted.

I live in Knoxville and Reggie lives about 30 miles south of here in Cleveland I think. We agree I think the group should gather in this area since it is such a central location coming via 40 or 75.

If meeting other chippers for trading sessions and possibly forming a club in this area interests you at least a little, please contact Reggie or myself so we can add you to the list. If we can get enough interest, we can start working out the details.
