HD Crashed with no back up??? SHAME ON YOU!!!!
In Response To: Terry, all I have to say is ()

But I feel for you brother....I had the same thing happen a few years ago. I lost a lot of really great pictures and my database. I had done a back up of both "my documents" and "my pictures" folders as well as the Collector's Assistant folder, but it was 6 months old. So I still had to go through every chip to find what was added since the time of my back up, which of course covered chips added from the convention. It was a major ain in the rear and very time consuming. So lesson learned: just doing a back up isn't good enough. One needs to do frequent back ups. I eagerly await for technology to advance far enough to give us a warning some thing like this: WARNING, EMINANT HARD DRIVE FAILURE SCHEDULED FOR 03-27-2008! PLEASE BASDCK UP ALL DATA.

BTW-The Collector's Assistant program has a built in back up function that makes it very easy, and allows you to check on successful and functioning back ups. It eliminates quite a few steps in the back up/checking process
