Anyone familiar with ZapGrab? Very nice little...

Screen Shot saver! I highly recommend visiting ZapGrab.net and downloading this small, free application. This is what it does.

After you download it, drag the icon to your menu bar, where it will sit until needed. At anytime that you see something of interest on-screen, a chip, a window, darn near anything, just left click on the ZapGrab icon, a small dialoge box will open ("Grab" "Exit" are only two choices), just click "grab" and then position cursor near what you want to copy, hold left button and drag across image of what you want. When you release the button, what you have selected is now in RAM and can be pasted ("ctrl" + "v") into most other applications (that you will have to open to receive the image).

Images collected can be pasted into MS/Word, MS/PowerPoint, Photoshop and other graphics programs and even email!

To me, this means I can see a post of chips being offered For Sale, quickly open ZapGrab, select the chip(s) I want, click on the email link, tell the seller I want to buy/trade and paste the chips wanted right into the message!

I have also found that I can scan a full sheet of chips (leaving space between each of them because the selection tool is rectangular/square), not even save the scan, just ZapGrab each chip image and paste right into my database program! I have tried it with FileMakerPro, but not yet with Terry's Collector Assistant.

Anyway, it's free, it's quick, it's universal and I thought others might want to know.

Jim
