Different perspectives are funny sometimes.
I think a joke is a joke. If a person can't laugh at himself (or anything he holds dear for that matter) then my personal feeling is that the person needs to take a deep breath, and realize that jokes are typically not meant as personal attacks.
I am so tired of comics and radio hosts having to apologize for jokes that are at the expense of a person, ethnic group, or french poodle. Yeah, there are times that lines are crossed, but for the most part, people just need to lighten up.
