Re: Anyone ever visit the Unclaimed Baggage Store?

Cindy and I stopped in once a few years ago on the way to visit friends of hers in Alabama. She was impressed that she could buy bolts of fabrics for a few bucks each (she used them to make charity quilts). I looked thru several hundred keychains trying to find one from a casino but no luck. Nothing else from casinos either. It was mainly clothes, suitcases and all sorts of other stuff. Keep in mind that it has more than just suitcase material - a lot of the stuff was being shipped as air freight packages. So they had radios, tv's, etc. I did almost buy a huge emerald (size of a robins egg) for $15K but it had quite a few internal flaws and I just didn't know if it was a good deal or not. The same gem was later shown on a TV show about the store and I wonder if it is still there.

It is an interesting place to visit but I wouldn't expect to find any great undiscovered treasures.
