Verizon gives 9 email addresses to each of their accounts. You should just have your son have them add a separate email address for you and then get Microsoft Outlook Express or Thunderbird (my favorite) to use to retrieve and manage your mail on your PC. Or as someone above mentioned you can use on of the free online email systems for mail - I use gmail from Google and Hotmail from Microsoft. Both work great and give you the ability to search your mail and store it in separate folders. I suspect you can even use Verizon's online email system - I know my ISP provides for it. Transferring your address book and your old mail may be a problem.

I love my gmail account - the storage is almost unlimited and the search capability is just great. and best of all it is free and can be accessed from anywhere.
