Just gotta start "teasing" everyone since we're in the home stretch for the convention....

Saw Nick at the Splashbar 2 weeks ago (Darrell and I spent 2 nights at the RIV while on a business trip). Nick immediately remembered us and took really, really great care of us for 2 evenings. All the bartenders said they are looking forward to seeing "the chippers" again (we are a fun bunch!). Did you know that Nick has been working at the Riviera for 28 years?? Started out as a lifeguard at the Riviera pool....
If you are lucky enough to follow Nick to the "front bar" (big round bar located closest to LV Blvd) while the Thunder from Down Under show (male review show) is playing behind the curtain behind the front bar, you'll be in place for "The Nick Show". Darrell and I laid $1 bills all down the bar edge for Nick as he was grooving to the stripper music (I will never be able to hear Big & Rich's "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" again and not burst into laughter!)....we laughed ourselves sore as Nick jokes that he gets to do the LAST song in the male review show - "when I pull my shirt off - the room EMPTIES!"
Oh yes, NO WORK being done on replacing the signage for the Splashbar....just brass strips across the top of the bar. Maybe has to do with the possible sale of the Riviera (heaven forbid, don't want to put any money into it)? Nick and other bartenders are still rallying to get the name returned to the original name: DeL Monico Bar, but so far management is silent.

Wooooo - I'm starting to get psyhed!!
