Re: Considering a Junket on this boat, John

Given the diaster mode we were in it is hard to give the full story but we were there for 3 days. The food was great and the selection was better than the NCL cruise I was on earlier this year. I did like the NCL freestyle meals though. There is a one table poker room open every day and the other casino tables are reasonably low stakes, especially the first nite. I can't remember if poker was $2/4 or $3/6 but the only bright spot of the cruise was that I took them for $225. The drinks also cost less than on NCL and they have a soda or wine card where you can buy a fixed quantity at a discount. I think the house wines were under $4 per glass with the card. Can't comment on much else since we didn't see any shows, tours, etc. We did get off the boat in Juneau and Cindy was thinking about taking the tram up to the top of the mountain until we found out that it was going to be over $25 per person. She just didn't feel good enough to waste that much money. Cindy was very sick but I did manage to see the galcier but was really disappointed. You see these shows with these tall galciers calving but our ship was almost 1/2 mile away and those tall galciers looked about 10 feet tall and 300 yards wide. Maybe there is something to that global warming thing.

Overall a very nice boat with good crew members. We got to the pier about 11 AM and after a short wait we got on the ship when they first started loading at 12:30(It was supposed to be at 12). I don't think you will be disappointed.
