I never said or posted that Dave... although some things clearly were much better in 1955 than they presently are... and vice-versa.

I was a Junior in high school in 1955, and I vividly remember purchasing a 1955 Buick upon graduation a year later for something like $1500 when I was making about $1.50 - $1.65 an hour in a local machine shop as a press operator.

I'm quite sure that 50 yars from now, people will be making similar comparisions in 2057 to what was said in the year 2007... and perhaps some may wistfully think then that 2007 was the good ole' days... (I won't be around to witness the event.)
