the thing with scanning vivid colors. Some scanners do a great job of it, some don't, and those that don't can't be made to do it. Believe me, we have all tried everything and they are just not designed to do it. I would take Lueders advise and try the Epsons and put this one on eBay. Very good suggestion. If you take those test pieces you used down to your local Staples or Office Depot, you can run a test right there in the store. Believe me, it is worth the extra work to avoid the aggravation this one is going to give you. I have a cannon AIO and am happy with it but the resolution isn't as good as I'd like. My next one will be an epson.
