Explanation for my question -
In Response To: wanted Win Card info wanted ()

On May 27, 1998, Gene Trimble, in a post titled "Win Card Update," reported on a conversation with a gentleman from the company that was running the win chips promotions. He listed a number of locations with win chips. Included among them was "Wyndam - Aruba." This got my attention first because I was unaware of any win card chips from Aruba. Second, the casino at the Wyndham in Aruba has always been called the Casablanca Casino, and all of their chips bear the name Casablanca. None of their chips use the name, "Wyndham," except one. And it's an odd chip. Like most win card chips, it is on the unicorn mold. Second, it lists the Wyndham without mention of the Casablanca on one side and Casablanca without Wyndham on the other. It also includes an area code 888 telephone number (very strange). Although no one has been able to offer any concrete evidence on what the chip was used for, I strongly suspected it was a promotional chip of some kind. I have not seen, and Ralph Pollack's book does not list any other chips from the Casablanca which look like win card chips in any way. Anyway, here is the chip:

If any Caribbean or win card chip collectors have any information or opinions to offer, I would love to see them. In the meantime, if Jim Follis would like the scans for his win card chip site (hopefully notated that we are unsure if this was the win card chip), then I would be happy to upload the scans for him.
