Vegas folks - a Monte Carlo question

For anyone who may have some insight on this: my wife and I were planning to stay at Monte Carlo in Las Vegas for several nights in mid-June. Upon reading some reviews of the hotel on Hotels.com (even though we've stayed there before), I'm led to believe that the construction on CityPlace next door may make this a bad choice. Specifically, it is alleged that (1) construction is going on 24-hours a day, causing an obscene amount of noise, and (2) there is so much dust and dirt being kicked up from the construction that it's impossible to lay outside by the pool and enjoy yourself without choking to death.

Does anyone have any recent experience with Monte Carlo who can tell just how accurate this is? Is it going to be to my advantage to stay somewhere further away from the CityPlace construction?

Any insights would be much appreciated. Thanks!
