that is my biggest problem w/ their new system. It was put into place a while back to protect the bidders from unwanted emails about the auction. What it also does, is keeps other bidders from knowing who is running the price of the items up and seeing who their competition really is. It only goes into effect after the bid reaches a certain price though. Just another way for Ebay to protect THEIR bottom line and not lose bidders to outside emails.
