Wow, I am really surprised to hear that...

I lived in Placerville for a little over a decade until 1999, and they had the locals in a uproar over that casino from day one.

Turns out the tribe there is about 2-3 families. The reservation is landlocked and they had no right-of-way to get from the freeway to the reservation, so they ended up taking surface streets, which angered the local folks....who even went as far as using tractors to dump loads of large boulders in the middle of the roads!!!

I suppose it had to happen sooner or later, but the largest family in the "tribe" was always a bunch of troublemakers and n'er-do-wells in the local community.
